Meet the Founder
I’m Tom Loughman, the photographer behind A Thousand Words Photography.
I’ve always believed a great photograph should do more than show you what something looks like—it should make you feel something. That’s what keeps me behind the camera.
Based in Columbus, Georgia, I photograph real estate, people, businesses, events, sports, and the places that make our community interesting. My background in photography has taken me from portraits and senior sessions to aerial photography, real estate, commercial projects, and capturing the split-second moments of a baseball game.
I’m not interested in making every photograph look the same. Every property, person, business, and story deserves a different approach. Sometimes that means carefully planned, polished images. Other times, it means being in the right place at exactly the right moment.
A Thousand Words Photography is about creating images that have a purpose—images that help sell a property, promote a business, celebrate an accomplishment, or preserve a moment you’ll want to remember.
